Holistic Yoga Therapy
Yoga therapy is not a fitness class. Practice is selected for your condition, your current mobility and your stress load, then adjusted as you improve.
Who it suits
- Daily stress and mental fatigue that is starting to affect sleep or focus
- Long-standing stiffness where general exercise has not helped
- People advised yoga by a doctor but unsure which practices are safe
- Anyone who has tried a general yoga class and found it too fast or too generic
What it involves
Assessment before practice
A consultation covering your concern, your medical history and what you can comfortably do today. Practice is chosen after that, not before.
Integrated Approach of Yoga Therapy
The IAYT method taught at S-VYASA, combining asana, pranayama, relaxation and counselling rather than posture alone.
Breathing and guided relaxation
Pranayama and deep relaxation techniques that address the stress response directly, which is where much physical discomfort begins.
Progression that is reviewed
Your plan is revisited as you improve. Practices are added or withdrawn based on how you respond, not on a fixed syllabus.
